Ready or Not is lately getting famous around many players who love tactical shooters. Putting you in a SWAT team’s position with defusal and hostage rescue missions with an emphasis of realism and detail, more and more people are spreading the word about the game.
As the game builds its reputation though, sudden news about Team 17, the publisher, came out that reveals the break-up between them and the developers Void Interactive. There is not an official statement about the reason yet, but one rumor rises on top among all others.
When a question is asked in Reddit regarding a possible future scenario of school shooting will make its way into the game, a developer said “You better believe it’s gonna”. School shootings are obviously a sensitive matter everywhere, especially with more mass shootings happening lately.
Neither side made any comment about the reason at the time of this writing, and both sides mentioned that the decision was mutual, meanwhile wishing each other the best of luck and success throughout their future endeavours. Void Interactive also said that they will consider player feedback very seriously regarding the future of the game. Updates are coming along quick, so it will probably make a lot of players happy, but it is still not confirmed whether there will be a school shooting mission.
