Skyrim modder is working on DLSS support

A Skyrim modder is working on a DLSS support mod for the game, bringing back the possibility to run a lot of mods and still get high FPS. This mod is actually aimed to help VR mods first, but if you are running a lot of mods that push your GPU, you can also get some benefits from it. Currently you can download it from GitHub, and future plans include some more end-user friendly version after the VR support is completely added.

Considering that it is much harder to get a stable FPS rate on VR devices, it is understandable that VR is prioritized. But it does not mean that classic PC modders will not enjoy a better FPS rate with this mod as some people (!) love loading 200+ mods at the same time and turning the PC into a packmule. Especially if you are using 4K resolution, graphic mods are going to drop your FPS very easily.

With this mod, Skyrim’s Special and Anniversary editions might have another comeback. Developer behind the DLSS mod, PureDark, mentioned that he talked to the developer behind popular ENB graphics mod, Boris. Luckily for ENB fans, Boris agreed to work on a compatibility mod for DLSS too. Skyrim might get closer to a real world look before long.
