Sony published a job listing that states a PC director is needed for the future plans. Candidate is expected to relocate to California despite ongoing pandemic conditions, and Sony wants this person to “bring the best of the PlayStation experiences to markets and channels around the world”. This statement is mostly interpreted as a further advancement into PC-related markets.
According to PC Gamer’s news, the job advertisement says “The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategy and commercial activity within global channel sales and will deliver a single, optimised PC sales growth and commercial plan to hub and territory teams to implement [and] identifying future sectors & partnerships for commercial growth. The plan should support the delivery of the agreed global channel sales critical metrics.”
This job advertisement is interestingly but understandably coming right after PlayStation launched a new label for the PC ports before 2021 ended, and it follows the arrival of God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, and Death Stranding on PC.
