Half-Life 2 has been a milestone when it comes to gaming, and not just FPS games. Just like its prequel, it also received a lot of mods because people loved it very much. Now the game also have a VR mod that is in beta.

This Half-Life 2 VR mod is made by Source VR Mod Team and it is completely free. As long as you own the base game, you can download and try it. This mod claims that it is compatible with most wired VR headsets that include tracked motion controllers.

There are great ways to interact with environment, vehicles and weapons. There is a list about controls and must-read disclaimers you can find on the official website of the Half-Life 2 VR Mod. You can even perform melee attacks, but expect a few bugs here and there since it is the beta version.

A reminder is that if you played VR games before and are used to teleport mode to get around, this mod does not have it. Also, vehicle rides are said to require “strong VR legs”.
