Ghost Recon: Frontline announced by Ubisoft

Ubisoft revealed its next major title today, a fully free-to-play PvP Battle Royale. This new entry will be called Ghost Recon: Frontline. We will be seeing 100 players divided to three member squads on the battlefield for the hard-fought victory. An island called Drakemoor will be the location of our fierce battles in this new game.

Main game mode will be called Expedition, consisting of an intel-gathering and extraction mechanic alongside the good old battle royale. Players will work to gather intelligences, complete objectives and then call a helicopter to extract – of course alerting all other players in the process. Successful extraction will result in victory.

There are multiple classes for different playstyles that can be swapped mid-round, as well as customizable player characters. Map will have various biomes and landscapes everywhere. In this massively large map, dynamic weather and time of day will also be present to provide further challenges and realism. As you can expect, vehicles will be there too. Another mode called Control will have a 9v9 match for faster matches.
A closed test on PC is being planned for dates between October 14 – 21. You can sign up for the test stage here. For now, only European players are accepted. Current minimum system requirements are announced as AMD Ryzen 3 1200 or Intel Core I5 4460 CPU, 8 GB of RAM, as well as an AMD Radeon RX 470 (4 GB) or an Nvidia GeForce GTX 670/760/960 (4 GB) GPU, all running on Windows 10. Game will be coming out on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, and Amazon Luna with full cross-play support across all platforms.
