Latest episode of Sony State of Play event had some unexpected announcements for upcoming games. As much as there was not any huge announcements to hype up players, it was still far from being a disappointment.
Here are the games we have seen during State of Play March 2022.
Exoprimal
Exoprimal is a new multiplayer co-op game from Capcom where two teams of 5 players are fighting against dinosaurs in a future-themed world. Currently there is not much information about the game, but it slightly resembles Anthem, Bioware’s live-service game. Exoprimal will be released in 2023 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
Valkyrie Asylum
Coming from Square Enix, this new Valkyrie game will come later this year for PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Valkyrie Asylum is an action RPG with fast hack-and-slash styled fights. Story takes place in a fantasy world with Ragnarok standing as a threat to civilization.
The Diofield Chronicle
Another new game from Square Enix, called The Diofield Chronicle is on the way. Game will be a strategy-RPG and release for platforms PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R is an all-star battle royale game with over 50 characters from the anime series JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. Game will be released in fall this year for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X.
Gundam Evolution
A 6v6 FPS game, Gundam Evolution is a free-to-play title where players will be piloting Mobile Suites from the famous anime series Gundam. Bandai Namco is currently running a closed network test for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in North America region.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection
Probably the most unexpected announcement among all, we are seeing Konami, Nickelodeon and Digital Eclipse coming together to bring 13 classic TMNT games as a part of this collection. Price tag will be $39.99 and the collection will release for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
Gigabash
Gigabash will be a 4-player arena battle game coming to PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. Developer company Passion Republic Games will release the game in early 2022, so it should be soon.
