Blizzard is coming with fresh news for Overwatch 2 recently, and the news are coming one after another. This time we are looking at a new feature for the game, which is the guild system.
During an Overwatch 2 AMA session on Reddit, game director Aaron Keller said that they are looking to add more social systems to Overwatch 2, and a guild system is near the top of the list for them. With that said, he also mentioned that this will be a huge change on many aspects for the game and not just some small social feature so it may take time and effort. Currently there are no expectations set for the arrival or effectiveness.
Keller said that they are interested in a system for in-game tournaments, though it is very early to talk about them for now. Still, even the plans of such a feature is enough to bring excitement for Overwatch fans.
