The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is still up for Fall release

Daedalic Entertainment confirmed that their upcoming game The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is still committing to the previously given Fall 2022 release window without any problems. This release window was first provided back in 2021 in a trailer for the game.

Another great detail about The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is that the FAQ provided by Daedalic Entertainment confirms that  “all elements of the game have been approved by Middle-earth Enterprises in order to ensure that the game is accurate to the underlying work of Tolkien.” So if you want to enjoy some authentic LotR content, here is your chance.

According to the developer, the game’s story goes parallel to the early chapters of The Lord of the Rings from Gollum’s time in Mordor, his capture by Sauron and his interrogation by Gandalf. The game is intending to create its own space in the entire franchise though, and the FAQ mentions that some of the interpretations will be different than what we used to see in Peter Jackson’s movies – yet still true to its literary source.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
