Call of Duty: Warzone 2 came out in November 2022 and the reactions were usually mixed. As much as the game is still quite close to the first Warzone, there were some differences in between. One of them was the lack of a small map in Warzone 2.
Activision is aware of the criticism against this specific point, and they are preparing to cover that area in Season 2. With the new season of Warzone 2, they are going to release the Resurgence mode which will also come with a small map. Understandably, this takes some time. Warzone 2 Season 2 is already delayed for two weeks, and it will start on 15th of February. They previously mentioned that they have been considering the player feedback actively and carefully, implementing possible additions and/or changes to the game.
Back in Warzone, Rebirth Island and its successor Fortune’s Keep caught the players off-guard with their fast-paced Battle Royale experience. People loved it, and most of them did not want to go back to the large maps due to the slower pace. Apparently, it is their time to be happy again.
