Update 11 is finally available for Elite Dangerous: Odyssey and it allows players to explore the interior of the Drake Class Carrier. There is also a new Protect mission type added to the game. This mission type provides an additional first-person combat challenge for players to complete.
Update 11 allows players to use Fleet Carriers as hubs to help them socialize as they cruise around the space. Visual quality of those Fleet Carriers are truly admirable. The new Carrier interiors offer sorts of facilities that Commanders could expect to find in Starports or Outpost Concourses. Some of those services can be even added on a modular basis, like Pioneer Supplies, Vista Genomics and the Shipyard. One facility that will be especially useful to ship commanders is the Bar, as it acts as a trading post for items found and allows the player to manage prices at all times and everywhere.
The new Protect missions can be received from mission givers and mission boards. As the name implies, Protect missions will involve Commanders having to defend a specific object. Once the location is cleared of enemies and the objective secured, players can get their reward.
