Kirby and the Forgotten Land only had a week or so after launch, and great sales numbers are coming in already. Recently it was confirmed that Kirby and the Forgotten Land had the best UK launch of the franchise history, and the title now did it for Japan. Famitsu announced that the information from Game Data Library is pointing at around 380,000 units being sold in just a week.

While the previous titles like Kirby Super Star Ultra, Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, and Kirby Triple Deluxe had their own remarkable success stories, none were as impactful as Kirby and the Forgotten Land is. After this skyrocketing launch, the brand new title is already sitting at the 2nd spot of best sales overall. Its only remaining rival is Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Both titles are also Nintendo Switch exclusive.

It is also a crucial point to remember that Pokémon Legends: Arceus was released back in 2017, and Kirby and the Forgotten Land only needed a week to prove its huge success. In future, we may see a new king.
