While Embracer Group announced the shutdown of Onoma due to the reason that they will be focusing on PC and console games, there are some good news on the big franchises. It was allegedly reported by multiple sources that Eidos Montreal is working on a new Deus Ex game, though the project is still in very early development stage.
According to Jason Schreier, the progress in Eidos Montreal is not affected by the shutdown of Onoma, and they are still working on major projects. The projects are currently not known in detail, but 2023 should bring us further news if 2022 does not.
A strange part in these news is that the voice actor for Adam Jensen, Elias Toufexis, says that “he is glad that they are apparently workşng on a new Deus Ex game, as he does not know anything about the game or even whether Adam Jensen will be a part of the game, so he wants people to stop asking questions to him about it”. With these news coming in, one thing for sure is that we will wait for some time before the game comes out.
