Prey may be a relatively old game as it was released back in 2006, but it is actually a lot older. A prototype for the original game which dates back to 1995 is released for the fans of the game. While there are some issues with the prototype, it is worth a look.
Getting the game work on current generation systems was one of the biggest obstacles, and this also includes the way the games were played back then. The classic FPS control layout where WASD, Spacebar, Control and Shift are the standard keys was not there back in 1995. You can use W to change the display mode, it defaults to Wireframe mode. L will enable Auto-leveling. X will strafe left and C will strafe right. A and Z will go up or down, TAB will open the console.
Arkane released a reboot of Prey in 2017, which was also pretty nice, but a sequel is still yet to come.
