If the title gave you the thought of Octane having an unmasked skin, I am sorry to say that this news is about actually the exact opposite scenario. An Apex Legends developer spoke about why Octane will never receive an unmasked skin. As much as the community loves Octane as a character both in gameplay and lore, one of the insiders simply said that there will not be a time we will be officially seeing Octane’s face.
It is a pretty interesting reason, we have to admit. Moy Parra continued the words with “It’s much more feasible to put a mask or a helmet on a character that already has a face than the other way around. Think of Wraith’s Voidwalker — she was able to have both as she already had a facial setup to begin with. Bloodhound or Octane would be VERY challenging.”
While the community was able to Ash without the mask thanks to an easter egg, it is totally unknown if the same will happen for Octane.
