Even after its controversial launch on PlayStation 5 and Sony’s refunds on PlayStation Store, Cyberpunk 2077 managed to be the most downloaded game on PlayStation 4 in June.
PlayStation has reported the most downloaded PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation VR games of June 2021. According to the company, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is the most downloaded PlayStation 5 title in both US/Canada and Europe region. Speaking for PlayStation 4, the most downloaded game of June is Cyberpunk 2077. It came out as a shock for many players since the game’s launch was kind of a disaster. Also Sony has removed the game from PlayStation Store after its release until 21th of June as we reported last month.
Since the game has been listed back in PlayStation Store again in 21st of June, it is a huge success to manage to be the most downloaded game of the June. This shows us players actually want to play and see it even after all the problems, performance issues and bugs. There is an ‘important notice’ on the game’s page saying: “Users continue to experience performance issues with this game. Purchase for use on PS4 systems is not recommended. For the best Cyberpunk experience on PlayStation, play on PS4 Pro and PS5 systems.”. But seems like it didn’t really effect the sales.
