Diablo has always been a game with a great speedrun potential, and players have always been trying to come up with a better run under different circumstances. But Diablo 3 is actually quite wide for making a 100% solo speedrun happen. There is so much content for one player to complete without anything missing. There are achievements, classes, items, softcore/hardcore part, Adventure section, very rare items and more.
Until recent times, no one truly attempted a 100% solo speedrun due to this. But it was apparently a matter of time before one true madman comes up and rises to the challenge. Called “The Travelling Inquisitor”, this streamer is already 2000+ hours into the challenge and he says that his initial estimate for this run was around 6000+ hours. Now he says that he is re-evaulating and updating both the requirements and the speed he is getting things done, he might need 20000+ hours. Yes, it is still a speedrun.
This includes some extremely rare items too. One example is Wirt’s Original Leg, and he took one full month to grind for it. There are some more like it, and we are not even counting all Primal items yet. This is one of the craziest speedrun attempts ever, maybe “the” craziest one of all. The Travelling Inquisitor thinks he is 70-80 percent done, but he believes that he will not be able to catch Diablo 4 release date. You can follow his progress both on Twitch and YouTube.
