Euro Truck Simulator 2 fans are having sad news today, as the studio has announced that the progress for Heart of Russia DLC is temporarily suspended. SCS Software has been developing Euro Truck Simulator 2 through years of success, bringing a lot of great content to the fans. They are known for releasing DLCs that contain different countries in a detailed manner, and players love it. Back in March 2021, studio confirmed a DLC for Russia, called “Heart of Russia”, and the progress was quite strong until 24th of February, 2022.
This was the date when the Russian invasion over Ukraine began, and it pushed a lot of companies to make hard decisions. SCS Software was one of them as their progress for Heart of Russia DLC was very solid until that point. Once the invasion began, the studio immediately prioritized the Ukrainian Paint Jobs Pack project, raising funds for humanitarian aid in Ukraine. In the meanwhile, Heart of Russia DLC was on hold.
After a few months of evaluation, studio decided to pause the progress in order to not give an impression of “supporting the invasion”.
