EVO 2022 literally dominated its own timeframe, even if it was a short dance. Another huge news coming from the event was the new Fatal Fury game that comes after over two decades.
SNK announced their re-entry into the franchise of Fatal Fury/Garou. After the 1999 release of Garou: Mark of the Wolves, it will be the very first game being developed. Currently there are no release dates or windows provided, but we have seen a trailer during the event.
Teaser was short, but it surely contained some hints about what to expect. Some story contents were placed into the trailer with two silhouettes. The silhouettes are thought to be Billy Kane, and Kain R. Heinlein. Billy is a character we used to see in the series, and Kain was the final boss of Garou: Mark of the Wolves.
Fatal Fury franchise is also known as the Garou series, so don’t get confused. The franchise began in 1991 with Fatal Fury: King of Fighters on the Neo Geo. For eight years we have seen some new games, but then the progress stopped there.
