Famous author George R.R. Martin lately commented on the upcoming video game Elden Ring, and said that game looks incredible. On the other hand though, he admitted that he is a fan of strategy games.
Martin’s words also included that Hidetaka Miyazaki, creator of the Souls series and head of FromSoftware, is doing “groundbreaking stuff” with his team, yet his work and contribution on Elden Ring is done years ago.
For people who do not know, Elden Ring is a collaboration between FromSoftware and Martin, who provided the worldbuilding and initial writing on the game. The reason for Martin to be involved in this worldbuilding part was a direct request by FromSoftware during the development stage.
Elden Ring was recently delayed to February 25th, 2022 across Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
