Chinese company NetEase is rumored to acquire all shares in Quantic Dream in near future. Developer company Quantic Dream is known for the game “Detroit: Become Human” mostly. The announcement will probably follow the acquisition after a while, once paperwork is done. Detroit: Become Human is an interactive video game focusing on artificial intelligence, released on May 25, 2018.
Back in January 2019, NetEase already acquired some shares from Quantic Dream, but company was still operating independently then. Now the sources are mentioning that the company is coming for a full takeover. Quantic Dream has been previously exposed having toxic work culture, racism and sexism. This might be one of the reasons to proceed for a full acquisition.
