Recent rumors were mentioning a new Mafia game as Hangar 13 had a fresh name in the leadership. The rumors are now officially confirmed and we know that a new Mafia game is coming.
Roman Hladik, general manager of Hangar 13, made it all official by saying that the studio has started to work on this new project. He said there are a few years from now to see the fruits though.
Back in May, there were rumors about the new Mafia game using Unreal Engine 5 instead of its old engine which was used in previous games. Besides, the new game will be a prequel to the entire trilogy. Since all games had different timelines to focus on, it is not a big surprise.
Before we forget, 2K is giving a chance to people who missed the old times and providing first game of the series for free between 1-5 September on Steam. Mafia Definitive Edition is also on sale until September 8.
