The space exploration game from Annapurna Interactive, Outer Wilds, is confirmed to be in development for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Outer Wilds came out for PC (Epic) and Xbox One back in May 2019, while stepping to PS4 in October 2019 and Steam in June 2020.
Fans of the game were eager to see this game in other platforms too, especially in the next-gen consoles and Nintendo Switch. Finally they are having the good news. Next-gen version of the game will be a free upgrade, available on 15th of September, as confirmed by the developer last Thursday. Additionally, they mentioned that the Nintendo Switch version is also in active development.
Nintendo Switch version was expected to come out around the end of 2022, but apparently they had to announce a delay so they could make the game as great as they wanted to. With many awards under its belt, people drooling for Outer Wilds is not a surprise at all.
