Sequel to the survival title State of Decay, the third game in the series has been in development since July 2020 but there are not much news since then. Game was announced for PC and Xbox Series X/S.
In a recent Xbox podcast, Phil Spencer said that he was a big fan of State of Decay 2, and he is only more and more excited for the next game. As much as the information about development and current state of the game is kept hidden for the time being, he is obviously a few steps ahead of everyone when it comes to knowing about the latest news of games being developed in studios under Microsoft flag.
Considering the pattern followed by the studio during the development of first two games, Phil Spencer is keeping his hopes high for a successful sequel especially with the support behind the studio. Release date though, is not revealed yet.
