Take-Two officially completed the $12.7 billion deal for the game developer Zynga. Take-Two not only acquires the ownership of big Zynga franchises like FarmVille but also gets access to Zynga’s expertise when it comes to developing large-scale mobile games.

Lately a lot of developer companies are investing into the mobile gaming scene, and with the successful titles coming one after another, it seems to be an accurate move. For example, Activision’s Call of Duty: Mobile recently passed $1.5 billion in lifetime revenue. In another example, PUBG Mobile by Krafton surpassed an huge $7 billion in lifetime revenue. Both games had Tencent’s involvement in their development stage.

Take-Two already owns a bunch of great franchises like Grand Theft Auto, BioShock and Civilization. Now they are very clear on the fact that they want to also catch the mobile money by bringing more franchises to mobile platforms.
