Any online game today which has some good number of players is immediately being targeted by people who produce or use bots, cheats, hacks etc. This problem is absolutely a huge one in online gaming, and almost impossible to solve completely. Unfortunately more games are getting ruined by those issues.
This time we are seeing Team Fortress 2 getting ruined by bots. Players are begging Valve since some time to at least make an explanation of the situation and provide some sort of roadmap to tackle it. Problem is growing since 2020 and it apparently never got any better for the players so far. Even worse, the botters are now imitating the legitimate players and getting some of them kicked out of servers. This causes more bots to roll in in the end. Tons of players and some content creators tried to reach Valve about this problem but so far there is not any official explanation.
Nowadays players are not able to play the game without being targeted by bots and their harassment spams. If this situation continues any longer, we might see Team Fortress 2 coming to an end.
