The name Ulf Andersson might not ring bells for everyone. Andersson is a designer with  the niche of co-op heist theme. Being a designer in two Payday games first, then he became the CEO for 10 Chambers and made the hardcore co-op horror game GTFO where the mechanics similar to co-op heist actually had their place.

As much as it was not anything like robbing a Wall Street bank when it comes to GTFO, players were still going in with a customized loadout, a strategy, a map and a goal to achieve. If they can get whatever they want in the raid, then they had to extract alive. Apparently, Ulf Andersson wants to take another shot in the genre.

According to his words, he is working on another co-op heist FPS game with a techno-thriller theme this time. Make things more “visible” for you, imagine Payday with Cyberpunk theme and there you have something similar enough.

There were some extremities with both Payday and GTFO though, and Ulf Andersson says they will not exist with this new title. Payday had the problem that once the alarm goes off and guns start blazing, they would never cool down until the end of mission. GTFO on the other hand, has an extreme difficulty which required strong stealth tactics in order to venture as far as possible since ammunition is also scarce and you mostly needed to rely on melee assassinations to bring down the enemies. Plus, checkpoints were very cruel as you could lose a serious amount of progress when you die.

Currently the new game from 10 Chambers does not have any details, such as name or release date. Project is in pre-production phase so they do not want to set false expectations. It is certain that we will be hearing from them soon enough though.
