Baldur’s Gate 3 is expected to be released in 2023, and the next big update is expected to arrive around the holiday season. The early access was released back in 2020 and the full version release was already announced for 2023, now we know that everything is on track with those expectations.
Specific release date may be announced next month and make things even more exciting for the fans. Developers say that Act 2 and Act 3 are being tested at the moment in order to make sure they provide the same quality with early access content.
They explain the reasoning behind the choice of releasing an early access version as utilizing the vast amount of player feedback before it gets a lot more difficult to implement all great things once the full version is released. A large RPG game is indeed difficult to “complete” with all pieces fitting nicely, and this timeframe allows them to listen to player feedback and make things much better.
