After coming online months later, Dark Souls 3 online play servers are closed again. The developers acknowledged the issue and announced that they are working on the problem.
Currently the source of this problem is unknown, and hopefully it is not another vulnerability. As most of you could remember, Dark Souls 3 servers were offline for most of 2022 since January. The servers came back online in late August and people were very happy to see it after such a long time. But this did not last very long apparently.
While we are writing this news, it has been around 18 hours since the first tweet was posted but there is no new announcement from the developers. It is currently not known whether the problem will be affecting other games’ servers too. Previously, Bandai Namco was the target of an attack which caused them to take down their servers as Dark Souls, Elden Ring and Tekken publisher unfortunately leaked customer information.
