According to the latest news, Electronic Arts and Koei Tecmo are agreeing on a partnership on a new hunting game. They are expecting this game to be a big one, but currently there are no details about how will the final state of the game look like.
The press release about this new project describes the game as a new and original IP which “delivers a truly AAA experience based in fantasy feudal Japan”. Developer studio will be the Omega Force under the banner of Koei Tecmo. If you are not familiar with the name, we suggest checking out the games Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors, which are also called “musou” action games.
The information provided so far gives the feeling of Monster Hunter in terms of gameplay. In Monster Hunter, players team up and hunt down huge monsters together. Another example is, albeit old, Big Buck Hunter. We will have to wait and see what kind of hunting game we are looking at. With the trailers and reveals following the press release, all questions will be answered. Electronic Arts mention that the game will be officially introduced “later this month”, so there is not much time to wait.
