Forge mode for Halo Infinite was a matter of debate and excitement for months, as a lot of fans have been waiting for this. November 8th was given as the official release date for Forge mode which will arrive as part of Winter Update. Finally the time is coming.

Forge will be arriving in a beta state with this update, but this does not mean that any removal of mode itself or the content created with this mode taking place in future. Players will be able to enjoy the mode and not lose any content created during its beta period. It is not an entirely new thing to Halo fans though, as we remember it from Halo 3. It used to allow players change the objects in existing maps. In time, the developers improved the tool to make it a full-scale map editor. Now players will be able to scale objects, create AI bots, script them to execute certain actions, use new lighting and audio tools in the maps they create.

A small warning was included in the blog post, as Forge mode will allow 8 players to play together but a current small bug causes an unexpected requirement of simultaneous start. Once the bug is fixed by 343 Industries, players will be able to join after game started too. Forge seems to have a lot of space to expand and improve, so it is not a surprise that fans have been waiting for this release.
