Marvel Snap is taking steps to become the next big card game, and now it is revealing the new competitive mode planned for the end of 2022. This is confirmed by the developer Second Dinner.
This competitive mode will be called Battle Mode, and it will be an entirely new way to enjoy Marvel Snap. In this mode, players will start with 10 health and the winner will deal damage to their opponent that is equal to the stakes. If you raise the bets and manage to score a win, you will be dealing 4 damage to your opponent instead of 2. In case you think you will not win and want to minimize the losses, you can take a step back early and lose only 1 health. Game lasts until one player has no health left.
The update by the developer says that Battle Mode is considered as the best way to play against friends, or run community tournaments. The mode seems to be good at both defining a winner and also utilizing the SNAP mechanic simultaneously. We will see if the expectations will be met when the mode comes out, hopefully around the end of 2022.
