While there is only about a month left for the release, Overwatch 2 still comes up with some news every now and then. This time, Jon Spector explains that the rumors about unlocking new heroes on the Battle Pass is not truly accurate, but not fully inaccurate either.
The rumors about these new heroes requiring unlocking is focused around the possibility that Battle Pass will require payment so people would have to pay for new heroes. Spector says that the correct part is the heroes actually being unlocked on the Battle Pass. Inaccurate information though, is that it would require payment for the premium Battle Pass. Spector clarified that new heroes will be found on the free track of Overwatch 2 Battle Pass so it will not require any payment to unlock these new heroes.
This is a relief for all players, despite the grind needed to unlock them first. It is not known that how much time it will take to finally grab them, but we will probably see it very soon when the game comes out on 4th of October.
