Recent driver from Nvidia was confirmed to cause a bug for Modern Warfare 2. Players were seeing crashes in the game besides other problems. Problems were first mentioned by Beenox, suggesting players to not use driver 526.47.
This problems were later confirmed by Nvidia, revealing that drivers 516.59 or 522.25 were much more optimal to use with Modern Warfare 2 until the current issues are resolved. According to Nvidia, this problem was also the reason for not promoting or recommending the Game Ready Driver.
While players mostly used a rollback to their previous stable drivers, Nvidia managed to solve the problems with their latest driver. They released a hotfix, number 526.61, announced on Twitter. The hotfix is not a usual install via GeForce Experience software, but a standalone install which is downloaded from their customer service site.
