Overwatch 2 seems reasonably stable since a couple of weeks, and players are enjoying the game without much issues. But recently a Reddit user shared a serious bug with Sombra which allows her to glitch into the payload.
Escort mode is one of the most played modes of Overwatch 2, and it even made its way into Heroes of the Storm back in the day. In this mode, attacking team tries to push it into defenders’ base. Since the payload only moves forward when there are attackers around it without any defenders contesting, this Sombra bug becomes incredibly gamebreaking.
Sombra can use the Translocator in order to jump into the payload and sit there safely without any issues. Some players recommended using Hanzo’s ultimate ability to kill her there but eventually no one could argue that this is a bug that should be fixed and not require teams to “work around it”.
Blizzard had similar issues in the past but not disabled the related heroes, so we will see how they will act on this one.
