Gaming scene is shaken after the recent leaks of GTA 6, as a hacker managed to get hands on a very serious amount of critical data from Rockstar Games. After a lot of comments, discussions and news about this leak, Rockstar Games shared an announcement with the public.
The question for most people was that how would the development progress be affected after this incident. A lot of guesses were shared, and finally we are hearing the official statement. The statement acknowledges the actions of the unauthorized third party, and leaked the early development footage for the game. There is not any disruption expected at this point, but the incident was obviously very disappointing for the team. The team will continue working without any change in schedule, and unveil the game once it is ready for it.
Besides the Rockstar Games team, Take-Two Interactive was also very quick to send out notices to take down all footages. In the meanwhile, a lot of developers shared their support for the development team of GTA 6 as they also know how disheartening such an incident could be.
