Silent Hill Townfall trailer secrets are found

Silent Hill reveals were a blast, and people are still talking about them. But one of those reveals, Townfall, is keeping players a bit more busy than other reveals. The reason is that creative director Jon McKellan said “So obviously the teaser trailer is just the beginning, we can’t show you any more, […] it might be worth watching that trailer again, and see what you might have missed.” The internet is full of people who are eager for such challenges.

One of the most significant finds came from Reddit user u/MilkManEX. He downloads the trailer’s audio as an m4a file and checks its spectograph in Audacity. Surprisingly, he hits the jackpot as there is a text in the spectograph that says “WHATEVER HEART THIS TOWN HAD HAS NOW STOPPED”. Truly unbelieveable.

Other findings include the pocket television that was focused throughout the trailer. Some users found that if you pause the flickering images, one of them has a text that says “THY FLESH IS WEAK”, besides having three dots, three dashes and three dots again, which is the Morse code for S.O.S. Another code was found by fans, as @yApth0 is taking the applause for this one. Developer No Code and Annapurna Interactive tweeted two very similar images of a house, both quite distorted. But there was a slight difference between them, and this user subtracted one image from the other and found a Morse code that says “I DON’T KNOW HOW TO LEAVE”.

These are all spooky as hell, and there are some more casual findings. Examples are possible references to the earlier games, as McKellan said that Townfall respects the source material but does some different things with it. People caught a couple moments such as the one 33 seconds into the trailer where parts of the map are displayed and a fuzzy voice sounds like saying “Is that really Alessa”, but it is not truly clear.

People might still come up with further findings, and it is truly worth checking out.
