Recently, a law firm called Migliaccio & Rathod announced that they are investigating Blizzard regarding a “misleading and deceptive” in-game item. The announcement came from the lawyers, who are looking for Diablo Immortal players who bought the legendary gem “Blessing of the Worthy”.
The reason for this investigation is that the item had some attributes which are misrepresented at the time of purchase. This item is sold in bundles which had price tags up to $100, and once you level up this gem, it actually becomes weaker. There are some posts by Diablo Immortal players who explain their opinions about this gem and why it grows weaker as you level it up, in the meanwhile the in-game text claims otherwise. Blizzard changed the text to provide a more precise and clear statement about the gem, but many players are still unhappy due to lack of proper compensation.
The law firm apparently focuses on two points in this investigation. One is that Blizzard misled people about this gem, and the second being the lack of compensation. This is definitely not the first serious problem with Diablo Immortal, and it does not seem like it will be the last one.
