While Cyberpunk 2077 fans are happy to hear the news about Phantom Liberty expansion and the improvements coming with 1.6 patch, CD Projekt Red also came with some partially sad news. According to their announcement, Phantom Liberty and following content updates will not be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.

CD Projekt Red also added that they will be slowly abandoning the support for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game. While the technical support will continue to allow players to enjoy the base game, new content will not be available for those platforms.

Considering the disastrous launch of Cyberpunk 2077 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, it actually sounds like a decision which should be taken way long ago before the launch. Most of the problems caused were tied to these previous generation platforms, while current generation of devices were relatively better at providing a smoother experience despite other bugs and issues.
