Electronic Arts organized a livestream event called Behind The Sims Summit, where they brought us some news about the series. The biggest expectation by fans were about the next game as you can imagine.
While Electronic Arts did not officially announce the next Sims game with a full name, they mentioned “Project Rene” as a codename. Project Rene is referred to as the next generation Sims game and creative platform. From a very limited part shown, we can see that it looks like a more expanded type of Create-A-Style tool we remember from Sims 3. Details and possibilities are truly exciting for the Sims fans.
They also showed how one can share designs with their friends in a more direct and easier way, as the current version of Sims Gallery is not that great when it comes to sharing designs you have created.
With solo and multiplayer modes with crossplay feature they mentioned, it might have a heavier focus on multiplayer features of the game but currently not much details are revealed about it.
