In gaming industry, sometimes companies make mistakes while putting price tags on their games. This causes lower-than-intended prices to be taken advantage of by players as soon as they notice this.
When this happens, companies have usually two ways to resolve the situation. They either honor the sales and sacrifice money for preserving a good reputation among customers, or they cancel the sales and have a few people upset in the process. But this time, we are seeing one of the largest mistaken discounts ever to be honored by Electronic Arts for FIFA 23.
FIFA 23 was supposed to be sold for 3499 Indian Rupees, and the Ultimate Edition was suppsed to be 4799 INR. Accidentally, the price declared was 4.80 Rupees, simply $0.06 USD. A lot of people took the advantage of it, and now EA stated that they will be honoring the sales that are made during the time. They acknowledged that it was their own mistake in a very straightforward and honest way. When it comes to how many players managed to catch the low price, Electronic Arts did not provide any numbers.
