A report surfaced from Ubisoft, and it mentions an internal delay for next Ghost Recon game. Initial games in the Ghost Recon series were mostly around the traditional military theme, but Ghost Recon: Wildlands took this journey into an open-world setting. Ghost Recon: Breakpoint even took this approach further. If you are a fan of the series though, this new report might upset you a bit.
This report from Kotaku actually addresses the rumors for a potential Ubisoft acquisition, which may cause the series to be postponed for an unknown period. This postpone is also not only about Ghost Recon but also about many other big titles like Far Cry and Assassin’s Creed. Most of them do not have a release date for their next games.
Ubisoft has many games in development stage, and they are quite massive titles. If such a postpone happens, it may mean that we will have to wait for a few years to see a great Ubisoft title again.
