Hunt: Showdown is a very unique medieval extraction style FPS that also brings PvP, PvE and Battle Royale elements together. Nowadays, the developer Crytek has started an event which sets certain portions of its maps on fire. This is called Inferno Wildcard Condition in the game, a part of Devil’s Moon event.

This sort of fire does not spread but will damage players quite hard, similar to other sources. Fires mostly exist around forests, and it provides different styles of gameplay for players. You can set ambushes, find some tough-to-spot routes through, take cover around the fires and maybe some tight spots to lure your enemies into. Also, there is a special trait called The Infernal Pact which is available to unlock during the event, which protects your character from catching fire and fire will also heal you.

This special sort of fire during Devil’s Moon can not be put out by Choke Bombs. It could be great if there was a chance like this though, to create surprise advantages on the playing field. Crytek is planningfor more Wildcard conditions in future. Devil’s Moon event will continue until 15th of February, so you have a lot of time to enjoy the content.
