Bungie is announced to be officially a part of Sony in a Tweet shared yesterday by PlayStation account. Deal was expected since months as Sony stated its intent. Price of the deal is announced to be approximately $3.7B.
Bungie will keep developint its own games, and most importantly the future games will not be PlayStation exclusive titles. Sony is actually focusing on Bungie’s expertise in its own lane, especially for multi-platform development and live service games. Sony is obviously preparing for a change of strategy as they are getting ready for live service products.
