V Rising had quite a fame at the launch, gathered a lot of players to enjoy a vampire RPG alongside a base building theme. After its unexpected fame, the game slowly faded into silence. Now the Halloween is here, and V Rising is making its move as the vampire theme is a great chance for the game to shine again.

V Rising is going free-to-play between 28th of October and 1st of November. Even better, if you enjoy GeForce Now, Nvidia’s cloud gaming service, V Rising will also be added to their list on 27th of October so everyone will be able to immediately access to the game.

A Halloween event without cosmetics is counted as a failure nowadays, and Stunlock Studios is bringing us the Halloween-themed DLC called Haunted Nights Castle Pack. This pack brings us a lot of cosmetics, lighting, furniture and much more to decorate your beloved castle.

If you want to enjoy the new additions, you will need to install the pack after the base game and complete three journal quests. These are called Lord of Shadows, The First Book In The Library and Expanding My Domain. If these are still not enough, developer Stunlock Studios is also releasing a gameplay balance patch today. This update also brings a game called Mad Hunt, available for both PvE and PvP.
