Warzone has been going through quite hard times during this year and previous year due to cheaters. Many players quit the game as hackers ruined the fun in various ways for weeks. Backlash from fans was quite serious as developers were not really successful in this fight against cheaters and hackers.

After a long work, Raven Software and Activision brought the anti-cheat system called RICOCHET. There were promises of an effective and strong system to clean up Warzone, eliminating most -if not all- cheaters much better than ever. Today, an official announcement was made regarding the very first fruits of this system as RICOCHET managed to ban 48000 cheater accounts in Warzone and Vanguard just yesterday.

The system recently added a PC kernel-level driver in the game’s Dec. 15 update. According to the official description, the kernel-level driver will “assist in the identification of cheaters, reinforcing and strengthening the overall server security.” Hopefully this efforts will have further and better effects in future to ensure an enjoyable experience for all players across entire Call of Duty series.
