While we are counting down weeks to Overwatch 2 launch day, 4th of October, time is coming to merge the accounts between first and second game. If you are playing Overwatch over multiple platforms, now you will be able to merge those separate accounts into one big pot. The process begins today, and it allows you to share all content in a single account.
If you have multiple accounts on the same console, you can only merge one of them so be careful with it. While FAQ states that you can unlink a console account from your Battle.net account, you will not be able to add a new console account for an entire year.
Game will officially remove the loot boxes on 30th of August, but you will be able to earn them in the challenges throughout the game until Overwatch 2 launches. If you still have any unopened loot boxes at some point, Blizzard will be automatically opening them and adding the contents into your account. The precise day for this process is not shared yet though.
