Even before its release, Hogwarts Legacy became one of the most selling games on Steam in terms of revenue. It is only behind the free-to-play games that generate their revenue via microtransactions such as CSGO, Dota 2 and Apex Legends. List also includes Valve’s handheld console Steam Deck.
With these statistics of pre-orders alone, it is very clear that Hogwarts Legacy is the best-selling premium game on Steam. During last seven days, Hogwarts Legacy became eighth biggest global revenue maker behind Steam Deck, CSGO, Apex Legends, Dota 2, MW2, FIFA 23 and Elden Ring.
The game is being expected since a remarkable amount of time by players, especially by the Harry Potter fans. The open-world RPG will take players to Hogwarts and other familiar places to live an untold story about the mysteries of wizardry. After the serious delays since last couple years, hopefully the game will be released on 10th of February, 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
PS4 and Xbox One versions will arrive on 4th of April, and Nintendo Switch users will be able to play Hogwarts Legacy on 25th of July.
