Sea of Thieves has been a game with relatively little hype but also one that compensates it with unbelievably loyal fans and followers who stay like a family. Bringing the online open world pirate theme to life in a pretty successful way, this first-party exclusive by Microsoft and the developer studio also inspired some later games after coming out in 2018. Recently also making it past 25 million at the player base, now Sea of Thieves is enjoying another milestone being achieved.
To be honest, the game actually earned this fair and square with lots of content and support from the developers over time. On the other hand, it was available on Xbox and PC, and also was the first game free to enjoy on Xbox Game Pass. Even with this possibility for people to try it free, it is really incredible that the game sold more than 5 million copies on Steam.
