There is a strange game in the upcoming games section of Steam, which is slowly growing into a hype lately. The game is called Squirrel With A Gun, and it uses Unreal Engine 5. Game’s name actually tells all it needs to tell, so let’s take a look at the details.
There is this early footage from the game, and we are seeing a squirrel holding real-life size guns while going after people for some reason. Fun part is that you can parry the attacks of your enemies and disarm them, meanwhile using the recoils of various guns to gain some movement advantages. There will apparently be some big gaps in the environment and you will actually need to use a certain amount and pattern of recoil to traverse over those gaps.
Speaking of guns, such a game would not be fun enough if you could not cause a huge chaos when you are a squirrel holding big guns. You can rob people and places if you feel like it. If you want to look cute while doing all these things, there will be some accessories for your character.
Games that feature animals as an idea of fun is surely not new, but recently we are seeing more examples of it and we can not complain at all. In previous years, Goat Simulator also gave us a taste of it and just a month ago we all loved Stray (even if it had a more dramatic taste). Squirrel With A Gun does not have a release date yet, so we will have to keep an eye on the news.
